Select five different web pages, each from a different web site. Select pages that contain lots of colors and images, both photographs and graphics. View the five different pages on both a Macintosh and PC screen, preferably side by side, as well as on more than one computer on the same platform (for example, one Mac, two Windows computers). Note the differences in how each page appears across platforms and across screens. For each page, write a paragraph describing how they differ in terms of color tone, saturation, and any other characteristics that you notice.

•                 In Mac computer images re colorful. But it in Windows computer image is not colorful. Simply Windows Display had an effect like washout. Windows Green color is colorful than Mac every images. Color tone of the Mac is  most Perfect. We can see number of shade colors in Mac but in Windows we can’t is Shades colours.

Using the capture tool built into the operating system or another dedicated tool, capture and save five different screens. Use the tools to save the entire screen, areas of the screen, the front most window, an image with a menu pulled down, and an image with the cursor

3.) Download three different images from a web site. One should be photographic, one should be a graphic (solid colors or gradients), and one should be a mix. a. Convert the images to 256 colors. Use the tools available to use different dithering patterns and palettes. Print out the files before and after reducing to 256 colors. Write the file sizes on each one. Use an image-editing program to compare the effects of applying different palettes and compression methods to the original images. Include sample images with your answer.

Visit different web sites. Describe the use of colors for each in subjective terms. Is each site vibrant? Childish? Muted? Subtle? Why? What cultural or other factors determined the color selection? Get a screenshot of a page from each site, and write a paragraph describing the colors and images used in each one.

Visit the following URLs (or any suitable site) and write an short essay on the usage of “Standard Image Sizes”.

                Every site I looked at had different size images. 240 x 160 pixels was a very common small images. Larger images were  around 460 pixels wide.  If you make your images larger than 460 pixels, most layouts in most blogs or site designs will have some difficulty fitting these sizes into the layout. There be kind of Human elution to catch the images and to reduce the weight of the site they introduce Standard Image Sizes.

     1)     Discuss the difference between bitmap and vector graphics.

a.      Describe five different graphic elements you might use in a project, for example, the background, buttons, icons, or text.

b. Would you use a vector tool or a bitmap tool for each element? Why?

Backgrounds

      Raster Geaphic is good for Background. All background deatails elements              have a different Colors. So Raster graphic is usefull to Background

Buttons

      Button is not a complex graphic one .There re use vector graphics. Buttons mostly use in Applications and website. vector graphics is small file size. That the reason to most useful to add website and application

Icons

      Icons are made with less details to user. Icon doesn’t  won’t  use raster graphic

      Text has low graphic elements. When There vector graphic  using banor. So it will not pixelate . but text is very clearly

                    

       2)     You are assigned to create an interface that will look good across platforms.

a.      What is the difference between images as shown on a Macintosh and PC? How would you deal with this problem?

      There are 2 different color pallet. There for it is display different color in between two of these OS. Macintosh shown colorful images. But windows has no colorful images.

       3)     List several simple geometric shapes.

a.      If you have a 3-D modeling program available, using these shapes, extrude or lathe them to create various objects, such as a teapot, a tree, a car, a table, or a lamp.

b. Think of some other objects. How would you use the simple geometric shapes (called “primitives” ) to create the 3-D object?

      We can use Nurbs and Polygons to Model 3D objects and we can edit them using vertex,faces and Edge s. Edit means reshape the simple geometric shape into required shape. We can use cylinder to create  Bat or anything if u like.

      4)     You are a designer given the task of creating a web site for a new division of your company.

a.      Start by defining the characteristics of the customers of the company and the kind of image the company wishes to present to its customers.

      Customer may come to purchase by paying, viewing or purchase with the paying

b.      Then specify a color palette to be used for the design of the site.
